Short Thoughts

The AME Zion Church held some sort of regional event downtown last week. The Police Department was forced to schedule zero (0) hours of overtime to deal with it. There were no drunken brawls. No one was shot. It's not about race; it's about behavior.

The PGA is in town this week. The kitties are rooting for the top cat on the tour, Tiger Woods, of course. When I tried to explain that he wasn't really a tiger, Shadow just looked at me and squawked a perplexed squawk.

Watched "Operation Petticoat" again yesterday. This is the movie where the pink submarine tries to escape from the Phillipines at the start of WW II. At one point, Curtis has stolen a pig for a meal for the crew. The pig's native owner and MP's come aboard to demand satisfaction, and Curtis ends up surrendering a variety of items in payment. Including a very nice set of golf clubs. And I wondered "Is that Fillapino guy Tiger Woods's grandfather?"
